The remains of its 2.000 years old history can still be found in various parts of the city.

Valencia has experienced fast urban and economic developments during the last thirty years, hosting in recent times a number of worldwide events, such as the American Cup and the Formula 1 European Grand Prix. The city has also invested heavily in various projects that have contributed toward making Valencia a popular tourist destination.

The city of Valencia hosts two major public universities in the Spanish system: The Universitat de Valencia, Estudi General (UVEG), and the Universitat Politecnica de Valencia (UPV) (see map). The combined student population of the two universities amounts to more than 80.000 students, and both of them have large technological centers, with important links to  the industrial sector.

The venue of the congress will be the Blasco Ibañez UVEG Campus, located in the City Center. It is easily accessible by public transportation (Metro, Bus and Tram) from any point in the city. Many hotels and students residencies are located within walking distance of the Campus, making it an ideal location from the point of view of accessibility.
